KATHMANDU, May 9 (Bernama) -- The death toll from an avalanche in the Annapurna range that triggered a flood in the Seti River of western Nepal Saturday has reached 26 with police recovering more bodies on Tuesday.
Police said the recovered bodies are yet to be identified, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal police personnel are carrying out search operation with the help of excavators, bulldozers and sniffer dogs.
Police said some 40 people including three foreigners are still missing and chances of finding any survivors alive is slim.
