YANGON, May 10 (Bernama) -- Qatar Airlines, which will be resume flights to Yangon on Oct. 3, will provide easy access from Myanmar to Europe, Africa and the Middle East, said the tourism circle Thursday.
Qatar Airlines had suspended flights to Yangon for nearly four years since 2008, Xinhua news agency reported.
Following the flight resumption to Myanmar, A-319 and A-320 aircrafts will fly the Doha-Yangon-Doha route three times a week and will extend daily flight service beginning Oct. 28.
B-777 aircraft will be flying the route in future based on increased market demand, sources quoted the airline as saying.
Qatar Airways signed a bilateral airways contract with Myanmar in 2004 to start operating a Doha-Yangon-Doha flight four times a week from January 2005 until the service was halted in January 2008.
