For further Sino-Myanmar friendship and for Myanmar students to be able to study the advanced education, a delegation led by Politbureau Member of Chinese Communist Party Central Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Chinese National Committee's People's Political Consultative Conference Mr. Wang Gang donated 100 computer sets and 10 printers for 5 Basic Education High Schools, 4 Middle Schools and two post primary schools in Thingyan Gyun Township, on 15th May. Mr. Wang Gang and officials opened the computer room and observed the students learning there. In the facade of the school, Mr. Wang Gang and General Secretary of the USDA U Htay Oo planted the tree in commemoration of Myanmar-China cooperation.
Next, Mr. Wang Gang and party visited Myodaw clinic opened at Thamaing junction of Mayangon Township where they studied the operation to cataract patients. In the meeting hall of the clinic, Patron of Myanmar Alin Yaung Foundation U Aung Thein Lin and the Secretary General of China Foundation for Peace and Development signed the agreement of 1st Myanmar-China joint construction for eye care centre. On the occasion, Mr. Wang Gang and General Secretary of the USDA U Htay Oo gave speeches.
In the meeting hall of Yangon Region Government's Office, Chief Minister U Myint Swe received Mr. Wang Gang and goodwill delegation. They discussed further promotion of bilateral cooperation and friendship between the two countries. In honour of the visiting Chinese goodwill delegation, the Region Chief Minister hosted a luncheon at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel. In the late afternoon, the Chinese goodwill delegation paid homage to the Shwedagon Pagoda and signed in the distinguished visitors' book. They offered flowers and water to the Buddha image and then made cash donation for the pagoda.
