The implementation of an automatic transmission driving test will be postponed. Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri says the ministry is awaiting the approval to print the books and equipment for driving institutes in line with the introduction of the new curriculum. He noted that the amount needed to print the book and purchase of equipment is about RM5 million. The new curriculum focuses on efforts to create prudent and disciplined drivers compared to the previous curriculum which stessed more on skills and knowledge of road laws.
