Khartoum, (SUNA) - The government on Tuesday said the international criminal court decisions are aimed to abort peace efforts in the Sudan and in Darfur in particular.
Dr Kamal Obeid, the Minister of Information and Government spokesman, has pointed out that political motives are being the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to implicate Sudanese leadership in the so-called genocide fabrications.
The Spokesman told the Sudan News Agency SUNA, that the decisions of the ICC have always been intended to hamper any efforts that the government exerts for the resolution of Darfur issue.
Dr. Obeid pointed out that the government is not concerned in any way with the court and would respond to the court allegation by more and more accomplishment and development projects in the country, "paying no heed to the desperate attempts of certain circles to create instability and to hamper the development process."
It is noted that each and every pronouncements made by the courts seem to be politically oriented. For example observers point to the first decision of the so-called International Criminal Court against the President of the Republic and which was issued in March 2009 at a time efforts were deployed in Doha for realizing a peaceful solution for Darfur issue.
