Khartoum, (SUNA) – Sudan has been elected to head the Nile Basin Countries workers trade union in the person of Sudanese trade unionist, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour.
The Trade Unionist Forum of the Nile Basin Countries has elected the Chairman of the Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation (SWTUF), Prof. Gandour, as Chairman of the Nile Basin Countries Workers Trade Union in a meeting held in Cairo, Egypt, July 12 – 13.
The forum has also elected Egypt as headquarters of the union. The forum discussed issues pertinent to water security and the trade unionist cooperation in all fields, training and the joint dialogue among the group to realize food security.
