The Rural and Regional Development Ministry will discuss the orang asli land ownership issue with Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers soon. Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said conclusion from the meetings would then be presented to the National Land Council. Orang asli land ownership would be implemented under the Tenth Malaysia Plan (10MP) aimed at transforming them into active farmers. He said matters to be discussed include designated areas and size as land was under jurisdiction of the respective states.
